EXPERIENCED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN
Arya Animal Acupuncture is seeking an experienced veterinary technician to join our team. CVT preferred but not required.
About Us
We are a single-doctor integrative veterinary practice that provides a wide range of services from both western and eastern sides of veterinary medicine including but not limited to acupuncture, dentistry, autohemotherapy, laser therapy, spay/neuter services, vaccinations, veterinary spinal manipulation therapy and Chinese herbal therapy. We also offer some emergency care to established clients/patients during business hours.
Duties
- Assist veterinarian in providing medical care to animals
- Perform various procedures such as administering medications, taking blood samples, and performing laboratory tests
- Monitor the health and well-being of animals before, during, and after procedures
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery progress
- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient information
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and answer their questions
Skill
Veterinary technician: Possess knowledge and skills in veterinary medicine and animal care
Animal care: Able to provide compassionate and attentive care to animals
Aseptic technique: Familiar with maintaining a sterile environment during procedures
Laboratory: Proficient in performing laboratory tests and analyzing results
Animal handling: Experienced in handling animals of various sizes and temperaments
Veterinary critical care: Able to provide emergency medical care to animals in critical condition
Veterinary terminology: Familiar with medical terminology used in veterinary medicine
